Morning. My first post as I'm new.

Even though we've had 3 Jeeps, this is my wife's first Wrangler, a 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport JL.
I have updated the radio from a 5 in to a 7 in. It was reprogramed by the MOPAR vendor I purchased it from. It works flawlessly.
Here's my question:

As expected the radio has no volume control or station buttons. I have ordered a Center Stack Control Panel from a different MOPAR vendor. It gives us the buttons back plus a screen off button. There is no description if I will need to have local dealer reprogram it.
Does anyone know if I will have to have it reprogramed?
Thank you,
Will

morning @wshack ! If I recall it should be just a plug and play kind of thing. There’s a YouTube video on installing the 7 and 8 inch screens and it never mentions anything about programming the dash buttons.

Thank you for answering. Excited to add to my wife's Wrangler but always researching best ways. This one slipped by me.
Have a great 4th,
Will

Yes, you will need to have the vehicle flashed/programmed to activate the new control panel.

The response above is incorrect.

You have several options like JSCAN or a Tazer.

Morning.
It was very easy to remove the 5 in radio & install 7in. Even installing Sirius antenna on roll bar wasn't a challenge.
A friend had what we thought would be an upgrade Climate Control Stack that turned out to be a bust. Looking at wire harness from vehicle, it had 5 wires to control stack. The control stack has 8 pins leaving the upper row non workable. No AC or Heat. No hill descend button either.
Next adventure is to understand what unit I need to add control knobs for radio & temp control.
Always enjoyable and appreciated to read comments without people slamming you for not knowing what they do.
Thanks, in advance

Morning again KtzybinesJLU.
You were correct on radio installation, it was programed to my vehicle at the vendor's I bought it from. The 7in works fine & wife loves the full back up camera. I think resolutions are better also.
Thank you for info, very helpful.
