I know this isn’t something that’s a big deal for all y’all.

I installed a Bolt Hood Lock on my own

Yep, it means nothing to most, but I’m a first time Wrangler owner. What would be considered an old ass 57 yr old Veteran woman.

My Father raised me to be self sufficient. I’ve always wanted to own a Jeep, but didn’t manage to accomplish that until now.

I’m realizing some of my dreams late in life.

I apologize for those that feel this is juvenile.

I want to do more & am looking forward to initiating my 2024 Willy’s to the trials.

Nice job! Today it’s a hood lock, tomorrow it’ll be a new lift ! 😜

Thank you for your service! I was USMC, my daughter USAF, and son Army. What branch were you in?

If by trials you are implying trails, check out Northwest OHV aka “Bridgeport”, Barnwell Mountain, and Hidden Falls. The latter would be the furthest from you, about 4 hours I’d expect.

I’m USAF 88-91. Security Police Law Enforcement. Now it’s called Security Forces.

I always wanted a Wrangler, but didn’t think I could afford one. I’ve owned several Mustangs. Then thought I wanted a Bronco, got a Bronco Sport (wasn’t happy) but came to my senses & finally got what I always wanted. Here we are a Senior woman with a 2024 Wrangler Willys.

Basically a newbie wanting to use my new toy.

I’m in Houston, TX so the trails are limited.

I no longer do social media so Facebook, Instagram, or X isn’t something I’m interested in

Ohh I misread your location. Thought it said Richardson. Hidden Falls is the closest so I guess you’ll need to make road trips. :)

Kim, thanks for you service.

I got my 1st at 57 as well and since then I’ve spent enough on mods to buy another one. Oh and by the way, i just bought a second one. A 1978 CJ5 that I’m now doing a frame up restoration.

My point is, watch out it can become an extremely joyful addition. 😜🤪😜🤪

Everybody starts somewhere.
I’m an Army Vet, lots of us around from all branches… was a Tanker in my former life.
The ‘24 Willys is an excellent platform. You made a great choice.

Pictures of your Jeep go a long way on this forum.

Good Job…except you broke one main rule. You always have to post pictures of your Jeep, mods, repairs etc whenever possible. 🙂 Thanks for your service.

Nice job. The bolt hood lock was one of my first modifications as well.

Time for you to make a short road trip to Hidden Falls Adventure Park in central Tejas to play with your new toy.

Hey, my first modification ever on a Jeep was making my own antenna out of an old Christmas ornament.

Now I'm just waiting for it to warm up so that I can paint my new coils, and install them myself.

For owning a Wrangler, the hardest thing I ever did was replacing a radiator on a 2001 Toyota Camry. This past year I created my own front bumper from scratch, installed and created my own rear seat mounting bracket for a 42-in Baja seat from Corbeau, and am slowly repairing a damaged hardtop which I got from a fellow forum member.

10 years ago I didn't realize how much making stuff from scratch and having projects really does keep me going, but now I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to continue with my projects. I probably go bonkers and kill myself. :CWL: 🤗 ;)

Basically what I'm saying is, everybody's got to start somewhere! Good for you! If you ever need any advice or tips or tricks, or ideas for how to do things that you want to do, there's a lot of us on here who really do live for our projects, and there's a wealth of information on this website, and good people who are more than willing to help. 😎 💕
