I've been in San Antonio for 9 years and counting. Texas is/has been a great place for us and our family.
Kids sports is a full time job and completely out of control, there are more "stay at home" moms here than anywhere I have ever lived, gas and beer are almost free, its hot and then July through Sept its stupid hot, We love jeeps and pick up trucks, San Antonio has the worst drivers on the planet, people drive slow in the passing lane, forget about using a turn signal, PFG is apparently a dress shirt... I could keep going, but like I said, we have found our place here, my kids are Texans and life is good.

Still super hot. I would also say to make sure you ate checking flights and status. As of now the state fair is still planning to open, but they could change any day now.
