Just sold an '06 Ram 1500 Shortbed/Reg Cab, only dislike was the 6 speed manual transmission. Had a hip replacement couple years ago, and at 77, I just want an automatic.
My son has a 2017 Sahara, and willing to part with it, H/S tops and is well kept, never off-road and right at 120k for mileage.
It's been awhile since I've owned a Jeep, but this just might be my next vehicle.!
I would welcome any comment or what to look for in it's history.

Might want to look at used Tacoma or Ranger if it's in your budget.

Jeep is a little rough driving, but I like it. It's great in a parking lot.

2017 is a JK so you may get better feedback on that forum, for a JK the 6 speed is the way to go and better than the 5 speed from the TJ, but on the JL (2018 and newer) the 8 speed is EXCELLENT and regarded as one of the best transmissions available.

If it’s been awhile since you’ve owned a Jeep, with a 2017 JK, you will be impressed (assuming your last was a TJ or older). Of course the JL has raised the comfort, capability and (debatable) reliability standard. I have a 2018 Rubi Recon JK and I love it but I like my JL more. With 120k mileage on the pentastar you might want to watch for the lifter/cam tick issues. But if it was well maintained with frequent maintenance and oil changes it should be ok. The best to you and happy Jeeping.
