Just changed rims on Rubi.. of course offset is now different and factory tailgate bumps need to be replaced.. So ya buy the cut-able ones and hope to get just right? What if the clever guys created an adjustable tire bump tailgate stop that replaces the factory rubber.. operate on the same principle of the screw type bottle jack.. Snap it in, screwdriver adjustable twist it out till contact and perfect fit.. What ya think? Am I overthinking It? I have had multiple jeeps and getting the right bump has always been a issue .

Easy fix......
1. Measure the distance from the tailgate to the tire surface.

2. Purchase small pvc tube pieces that will fit inside the existing rubber pieces. Make sure to get two pieces of pvc tubing that are at least the length measured in #1 above.

3. Then buy two rubber stoppers that you would use for the chair leg ends for an old chair.

4. Push the pvc into the existing rubber pieces on your Jeep.

5. Confirm the stack up measurement of the components, trim to length.

6. Place the rubber stoppers onto the pvc.

7. You will need to remove your spare tire after you confirm the offset.

8. After install of new spacers put your spare back.

This worked for mine. Less than $10.
