Spare tire bumps

Hey all just installed a new rear bumper/ tire carrier and was wondering if anyone knew where I could find longer (by half an inch or so) bumps that are in the tail gate?

Everything is pretty solid just looking to absorb the tiny rattles I hear on big bumps.

just take some heater hose and cut a chunk off and slide it inside the stock bumps and it works perfect.

can also just get some PVC pipe and stick it in the opening in the bump. cut to fit. Will cost less than $5

I don't know how the spare tire bumpers mount on a JL, but on my TJ they used a single bolt.

I lengthened the bumpers on my TJ with a hockey puck. I drilled a hole in the puck, found a longer bolt, and used my belt sander to reduce the thickness of the puck slightly.

Teraflex makes an extension kit with different size spacers, good for future changes.

I don't know how the spare tire bumpers mount on a JL, but on my TJ they used a single bolt.

I lengthened the bumpers on my TJ with a hockey puck. I drilled a hole in the puck, found a longer bolt, and used my belt sander to reduce the thickness of the puck slightly.

They pop in, there’s a little nipple molded in and they just push into the hole.

x2. These are designed for the JK and a little trimming of the part going into the body makes it easier to insert (and remove if necessary). Trim for the appropriate length.
