@Stuckinthesand CJ, if you relocate the solenoid box onto your bull bar, I opened the box (four bolts on the bottom), drilled through the bottom of the box into the bull bar, then used two larger diameter sheet metal screws to attach it, and then reassembled the box. It’s on there solid, and has already pushed through branches with no issues. I will probably take it apart this winter to see if there is any corrosion in the holes I drilled into the bull bar. If there is, I will hit it with some Rustolium paint, then seal around the screws with either silicone caulk and/or rubber washers.

Thanks Jeff. Looks like I may have a weekend project now. I’ve been thinking about it and this just pushed me to do it.

LOD makes a Signature Series and a Destroyer Series in full, mid and stubby. I put the mid width Signature series on my 2020 JLUR. I put a Smittybilt 12000 lb. winch on it as well. I had LED fogs in the factory plastic bumper and after removing the wiring harness from the plastic bumper (PITA) the fogs bolted right into the LOD bumper. Great strength and love the way it looks and I can flat tow the jeep (which was my intent) because of the bumper ratings.

I am looking hard at the Rock Hard Patriot Full width aluminum with a Smittybilt 9500 winch and synthetic rope. That combo should be less than 100lbs over the stock plastic. Anyone tried these bumpers?

I have the mid-width version of that bumper and I absolutely love it. It was actually a few pounds lighter than the stock plastic bumper I removed (especially when you include the giant plastic air dam and the steel plate underneath that you're pulling out). I think the full width is only 4 lbs heavier than mine, so you really are only adding the weight of the winch to the front.

Have the RockHard 3/4 width Alum bumper with a Warn 10,000 lbs synthetic rope.
It is a great setup. The bumper itself weighs very little but the winch does add some weight. Good looking bumper!
