Just installed a Fishbone Offroad stubby bumper. The hole for the fog lights seems to be recessed pretty far. Not sure if I will get the correct beam pattern from fog lights with them being recessed. Wondering if I should get driving lights for down there. Either way I am getting SS3 pros and just can’t decide on type of lighting and color, yellow or white?

The fogs are ultra wide and the only sae street legal option, but if you don't plan on using the fogs you can't go wrong, only choice then is color and that depends on your preferences or how much bad weather/dust you may be dealing with

I wouldn't worry too much about the fog lights being recessed, especially if you're going with SS3 foglight pro's. Those will throw out a ton of light. My foglights are recessed in a qtec bumper, I've only swapped in led bulbs to replace the halogen and they still put out a good amount of light and fog pattern.

Honestly, I really don’t use the jeep in bad weather, unless I absolutely have to. Kind of a garage queen. I use my CRV as my commuting vehicle for every day driving.

If you aren't putting any other lights on, I would go Amber. You will really appreciate them in snow or dusty conditions. Much easier on the eyes. My aftermarket bumper has recessed holes for the fogs like yours and it isn't a problem at all.

I might be interested in some replacement fog lights in my bumper. The factory one's work but they certainly aren't very bright. I'd like to install a set that are basically spotlights! How bright are we talking for the SS3 pro fog lights? Spotlight bright? A tad pricey for two little lights am I going to be disappointed?

The pro ss3 lights are in fact impressive, I bought the fog lights based on @Whiskeybiskit getting their stage series 6" light bars. I have been very impressed, so much that I bought two more sets for work/offroading, I have six total pro pods and two stage series Light bars, white and yellow depending on my needs. Pics don't do it justice but I'll post a few.

Thank you very much!

I'm only going to add two. In your opinion which lights do you think is brighter the white or amber?

According to Diode Dynamics the white is brighter, but here in Vegas we have a lot of dust so I have the yellows to combat the dust and the white just reflects and doesn't work as well

White it is! I just have to get with Diode Dynamics to make sure they are going to fit in my bumper and I'm sold!

I’ve never paid attention, but do they ever run sales? Labor Day? Black Friday?

Something else to keep in mind is that by default, the fog lamps turn off when the high beams come on. That’s not normally a problem for fog specific lenses, but it could be if you are wanting to use them with a driving or spot lens.
I believe this can be changed with a Tazer.
