Finally getting my dirty life dt-1’s mounted up with fresh 37’s. Will the tire installer need to remove the fake beadlock ring to install these, or can they just installed as any other wheel would be? Reason I ask is I would rather take the rings off myself since I would probably be more careful removing than a tire shop.

If I’m not mistaken, those are true bead locks.

If it were a fake bead lock, the bead lock and wheel are machined as one piece.

If the ring is plastic I would absolutely take it off before having the tires mounted.

true, I should have been more specific. The wheels are beadlock capable if you purchase the separate ring. What’s included is a plastic removable ring.

They should be able do it without tearing up the rim of the wheel, plastic trim ring or otherwise. Just point them out and ask them to be careful. Most reputable shops would replace the wheel if they mess it up anyway, don't see why these would be any different.

thanks for the reply. And dirty Life did finally get back to me and confirm that removal of the plastic rash ring is not necessary for installation. Just thought I would put that here for anyone else that might be wondering in the future.
