It looks like Rough Country now has a 2.5" Spacer Lift for the JL. $160
It's real basic though, only some spacers and shock extensions.

I suppose it would be ok, if you aren't planning on heavy bumpers and armor, or if you're just mall crawling.

$160 vs Mopar $1500...i assume this will ride like crap?
It probably rides just as nice as stock. You just won't be able to get the same flex as a coil lift

It should ride exactly like stock since it's using the factory springs/shocks. Steering may feel a little "flighty" without the caster correction provided by the extended lower control arms in the Mopar lift.

$160.00 for anyone who will be doing some off-roading here and there this will be just fine. I started with one of these on my JK before going crazy on a high dollar Frankenstein lift. I never had any problems going out with my buddies and their high dollar lifts. Also you can make your Jeep look nice without breaking the bank until you figure out what direction you want to go as far as a build.

Could this work with 37s and Rubicon fenders? For trails and light offroading

I would think so if people are putting 37's on the 2" Mopar lift. I think you are going to lose some suspension travel since it doesn't come with extended sway bar links.
I'm hoping someone other than Mopar comes out with a good spring/shock lift kit(Metalcloak/RK/Synergy/EVO) before I get my Jeep. If not, I may just install one of these to hold me over so I can fit my wheels/tires.

When you say lose suspension travel....do you mean compared to the mopar 2" lift or even from stock?

What's a "swap bar"?

If you are needed full extension wouldn’t the sway bar be disconnected anyway?
The Rubicon electric disconnect just disconnects left from right but the links are still connected to the sway bar limiting travel(not with the newer kits that include the longer links front and rear)

TTEChris, Thanks a bunch for the clarification. I was going with the Mopar lift- but after some thought feel the spacer lift will be sufficient for me on the Rubicon. But makes sense to get the longer links for the sway bar. Any recommendations as the RC appears very basic.

Anytime!
The newest iteration of the RC kit includes everything you need. The first variation of the kit didn't include longer sway bar links or bumpstop extensions, but they added both of those things shortly after it was launched.
