Thanks for this. I just brought my phone out with a USB C to lightning, plugged it in and boom! Clearly some apps work with car play but not all. I tried to use the microphone to search in google maps but it didn't work.
Apple music sounded MUCH better than Sirius. Couldn't get my Amazon music to come up though.
Time to do some reading...

If you have Siri enabled on your phone, just "ask Siri". I have an android and just have to say, "hey Google". No button pushes needed.
