Motion sensor hooked into factory alarm

Hey any of you add a motion sensor to trigger the factory alarm when someone reaches into Jeep. I have seen some info for a JK but nothing on JL. I would think you could connect it to trigger the tailgate sensor on activation. Just wondering if anyone has done it yet.

Great question! I was thinking about installing a 508D and have the stage one output honk the horn and stage two output simulate opening a door (therefore triggering the factory alarm). Also interested in if/how it has been done on a JL, but I suppose I could probably figure it out.

Well the tailgate alarm is just a trigger sensor that is either open or closed. I would think you could just tap into that line with a relay and trigger the standard alarm. My Jeep gets here in about a week. I will figure it out and post up my results.
