Tapping into factory subwoofer?

Has anyone tapped into the wiring for the factory sub to get an audio signal (RCA’s) for an aftermarket amp? I tapped into the soundbar wiring on my 2019 2 door JL. I am hoping to skip a step in my new 2024 JLU and use the factory sub wiring. I did some searching but only found people tapping into the soundbar wiring.

Unless it's changed, ANC and crossover/amplification all happens at the Alpine amp. There willl not be any low level audio (RCA) at the sub, just high level (speaker level).

I believe it's crossed over very low, so you may not have the upward extension you are looking for on that signal.

OK so the only thing I would have to gain by tapping into the subwoofer wiring is a shorter run of RCA’s VS tapping into the soundbar wiring. Sounds like I’ll be going the same route I went with on my last setup. Thanks for the info.

Imo the worst part of the whole sound system. The sub is basically non existent.
