Hey guys, not sure how to phrase my question, because you can game it if you really wanted to, but what is the furthest you have driven in electric miles in one charge? My drive to the office is about 50 miles and for now I can only charge at home. So the more I drive in electric the better. I usually switch manually between e save and hybrid depending on the speed limit. Today my jeep said my trip electric miles were 30.2 and 18.4 hybrid with ~12% battery still remaining and a range of 6 miles. Pretty crazy, that should be enough to get me through stop and go traffic and back on the highway home. I expect my total electric miles will be 33-34 miles before I hit 0%. What's everyone's best?

The most we got was around 26. I was trying to drive very cautiously. That is amazing that you got that many!

I am guessing your round trip is about 100 miles.

I think pretty much anything above 20-22 mile, is mostly the stop/start mileage adding up while the gas engine is on. 22 is also spring, summer, autumn driving, winter is a different animal.

Same. Wish it would've been at least 50/100 miles.

Rubicon 4xe, stock, Chicago area...mixed suburban speeds 25-45mph.
Winter: 18-21 miles on 100% charge, battery only
Summer: 23-30 miles on 100% charge, battery only

My daily commute is 13 miles each way - 26 miles total. I am able to do that exactly and cruise back into the garage at <1% charge. Interestingly, the trip to work uses 46% of the charge but the trip home uses 54%….same route so assuming it is just a calibration issue as I put more all electric miles in the computer will catch up. That last 1% lasts much longer than the first 1%!

Pleased so far but certainly wish it had longer all electric range. I’d be all in on a pure EV Jeep for sure….love driving in silence With windows down / freedom panels off.

...That last 1% lasts much longer than the first 1%!....
The reason is because when the battery is "low" it recharges faster from regen than when it's full so it floats the charge up/down at 1% longer than at a fuller charge %. The 15% reserve (that we do not see) and a few percent above that get recharged very quick from braking or long coasting stretches. THE biggest affect is speed and the weight of your right foot. I've found best range from Max regen being OFF everywhere except really slow stop/go traffic.

I think the electric miles is pretty accurate. Its strictly any time you are running with the engine off. My trip's electric range after 0 is usually higher if I dont have max gen on due to coasting down hills with the engine. But ya I agree with what you are getting at. If I used all of my electric in one straight, flat shot I doubt I'd near get over 30.

Its funny, my driving habits switch depending on the driving mode. If im in hybrid I try to stay under 60 and never pass for the most part. But if speeds go over 60 im in e save and on the gas.

I thought that at first too but as I have lived with mine over the last 9 months I think of mine not as an ev but the wrangler I dont have to compromise with. I get the added power of the electric motor to pass on the highways and a better ride from the battery weight. With the added bonus that all of my errands and local driving is done on electric power. So the extra 25 to 75 miles would just be added weight hurting the ICE efficiency.

The best I've ever achieved was 31 miles on 1 charge. I drove very strategically and that last quarter mile I was really babying the pedal because I was determined to make my commute to and from work that day all on 1 charge. On average it's about 26 miles on a full battery with stop and go traffic and side roads
