Here is the bag you are referring to

Note I do not use a rolled blanket any more I now use a cut off pool noodle making it very compact.

In many of the popular Jeep part sites/stores they only obvious option was the Mopar window bag at $170 which is way overpriced for a canvas bag and even then with the windows stored in it it is too big to fit in the back of the Jeep.

After looking at other options like various JK bags I found this on on Amazon for $49, I figured what the hell I will give it a try.

The bag arrived and I was impressed with the quality and the size assuming the windows fit, actually fits like a glove in the cargo area of the JLU.

Below are pictures of the windows in the bag:

Second side window

For the back window I removed the bottom bar and then Used a light weight packing blanket rolled up with a couple straps, and since the window was too long I used the rolled up blanket for support so I could fold the back window without it creasing.

Here it is all windows stored in the bag, as you can see it fits perfectly in the cargo area or can be hung or stood up

I also installed the Slipstream cargo security system and the bag fits perfectly

Bought this because of your post. Is the noodle big enough to keep the bent window round enough? I kinda like the rolled up blanket idea better to keep the rear window from closing as much in the middle.

I’m reposting my review from the 2dr thread so that it comes up in searches.

Original, in case you want to see any answered questions that came up there:

I don’t believe there is a different P# for 2dr, even though Quadratec told someone that there is. Clearly this P# works just fine for my 2dr, anyway.

OK! The sun’s out, and my windows are now stored in my new MOPAR bag and stuffed in the trunk.
  • The bag’s design is fantastic. I know there’s a mom and pop outfit making custom bags, but I’d be shocked if the side windows fit in it as nicely as they do in the MOPAR offering. I’ve seen the Smittybuilt one, and this one is a much nicer fit, IMO.
  • It’s a very tight fit in the 2dr trunk. You have to sorta curl the sides a bit, and only time will tell if that creates creases. I don’t think it will, but if it does the hot sun ought to sort them. (Update: After 3 days in the trunk I took them out and they were perfect.)
  • Getting the top all the way down is extremely tight. I ended up folding my back seat forward ever so slightly, locking down the top, and then locking the back seat upright. The plastic corners of the side windows are sandwiched between the back seat and the top’s support bar. It doesn’t feel so tight that it’s going to be a problem, though. I’m sure it all fits more easily in a JLU. (Update: to unlock my top I had to reverse this process: slightly fold the rear seat, unlock and raise top, return back seat to locked position.)
  • If not obvious, the bar from the bottom of the back window stores right in its bracket. Do not try to store it in the bag. See picture, below.
  • I use Velcro straps to keep my top snugly in the down position. I feel this removes some play and will prevent friction between the window bag and the top. Also, it looks better and I'm anal. :)

@Quadratec @WestKY

Thanks for your post, it's something I was considering but didn't know how it could be integrated with the top down. Once again, thank you for your consideration and time in listing post.

You may want to try.
MoparPartsGiant.com
I ordered the part, expected delivery 5/29/19. I gave up on ordering from Mopar direct a long time ago. This Ca. division seems to be pretty straight with delivery.

Just slipped to August 30th with Quadratec. Thinking about cancelling and looking elsewhere.

I thought I remember someone posting a hack somewhere to keep the windows from falling down inside the bag while standing up to keep from causing any creases. Am I imagining things?

I posted about using binder clips. That's what I do, mine never fall down.

Wanted to see if anyone has any updates on their use of this bag after the year or so since most of these posts were made. Is the bag still holding up? No creases or other issues? Any recommendations on recent ordering, eg where to order, etc?

Thinking about getting one of these again and just using some large clips to prevent window sag. I get annoyed laying the panels flat and not having any trunk space.

Do the large window ends fold in on each side with the storage bag or does it lay flat against the back seat?

Youve got to do some folding and shoving. I hang mine on the back of the front seats because I don't have my back seats in and you still have to do some folding. Once you put the windows back in they will be a little crinkled, but not folded, and an hour in the sun will flatten them back out.

In the bag, the windows do fold on each end to form a "U" shape.
