The satin black can contrast really nicely on a lot of colors. Since the grill is very easy to take off, would it be an inexpensive route to do a satin black wrap to achieve the same look. It has the added benefit of reverting back to body color if you ever change your mind down the road.

Had a quote of 325 to wrap it seems like a lot

I installed this on my brand new JLUR. I like it. I think it might look better on Jeeps with black fenders vs. body-colored ones. I do intend to keep it if for no reason other than having a sacrificial piece that’s going to get sandblasted in Colorado winters.

It looks better with body colored fender than without. The fender trim pieces matches with the grill.

I believe for the SPORT those trim pieces are attached to the grill. For Rubicons, the trims are attached to the original grill so they can be removed and reattached to the mopar satin black grille. I believe there are two different mopar satin black grille depending on the trim you have.

There is only the one satin / matt black grill for the JL, part # 82215114. If you have a Sport or Willys model you will also need to order side molding part # 6CG98TZZ-AA and lower molding part # 6BY76TZZ-AA. You can install them as is with the black primer finish like I have, or you can get them painted to match at a local paint shop. The Gladiator inserts that fit this grill are part # 6QN21RXF-AB, 6QN22RXF-AB & 6QN23RXF-AB.

You don't _need_ the trim pieces to install it. Some have mentioned installing it without noticing the pieces missing. Depends on what you like. Also, there is another black Sport-type grill (trim pieces are a part of the grill) available but I believe it is glossier and does not come with the headlight surrounds and grill inserts...you would need to move those over from your existing grill or buy them separately.
