35’s fit on a Rubicon without a lift but a 1.5-2” lift would be perfect. First pic is 35’s and no lift. 2nd pic is 35’s and 2.5” lift

All these are great DD tires. The BFG’s are available in a load range C that many like. I’ve never ran the GY Duratracs but a lot
of people really like them.

I see you have a hard top caddy, I forget the name, how do you like it? Easy to use as advertised?
Top Lift Pros. It’s nice. Expensive but I like that I can easily lift my top off and move it around the garage if I need to. It takes some time to assemble it. It comes it two giant boxes that weigh 60 lbs each.

Yes. I went with a Rough County 2.5” budget boost and then I replaced it with a 2” Mopar lift. The Mopar lift is a little more than 2”.
The Mopar lift is a complete suspension lift with new coils, shocks, front LCA’s and the RC 2.5 budget boost is just coil spring spacers, shock extension brackets and longer end links. That’s why it’s only $175 versus $1500.

If I had to do it all over again and my JL was going to be my daily, I would get 35’s with a hybrid tire like the Toyo RT or Nitto Ridge Grappler. The BFG KO2’s and Mickey Thompson ATZ P3’s are nice too.
The stock Rubicon JL rides and drives so nice especially compared to the JK. Budget boost and 35’s changed it a little but it was still good. Now with the Mopar lift and 37’s it’s not so much fun to drive any long distance (30+ miles)
What makes it not fun to drive? I am planning the same setup as you, won’t be a daily driver but do plan on taking some trips with it, is the ride just really rough?

If you are looking for the Mopar lift for the JL and are near Arizona, check with Outlaw Jeep and Offroad... They had 12 kits in stock.

Going to daily drive mine, so feel like 35s are the way to go. 1. Do you think you need a lift to crawl around on 35s?, 2. Do the 35s look out of proportion with a 2-3” lift (in person)?

First off, sweet rig.

Second...I got it, tire size/lift is personal preference. 37s w/a 2" lift on a JL looks like a solid combo but as you mentioned, may be over the top (for some) for a DD.

That said, my JL (and JK now) is a DD, although I don't have to drive it much around D.C. I'll be driving my JL more due to a change in work locations, with the occasional drive 150 or so miles.

IF I go 37s, which I likely will do...what should I expect/anticipate from the JLs driving behaviors, specifically when driving longer than the 30+ miles you mentioned.

Thanks!
