Either I don’t see what’s seen by everyone else, or that’s just one solid plastic bumper. Either way, steel bumpers will now be an option rather than designated by trim level. So if you want a capable and modular bumper, you can always go for steel.

I'm sure the aftermarket will probably come up with a kit to trim your stock plastic bumpers like the JK, but FCA would never offer them as an option. Just like modular fender flares, bumpers have state and federal requirements. I know here in WA state fenders are supposed to cover the tires and bumpers have to be equal or greater than the track width. Providing a "cheat" or easy way to make them illegal would be a no-no for FCA but the aftermarket could get away with it. Aftermarket parts can have the "check your local laws for legality" disclaimer on them, Jeep can't do that with factory equipment.

That's exactly what the stock 10A/75A/Recon bumpers already do by removing a few bolts, so it's obviously not as much of a No-No as you think.

Aren't those bumps where the crush cans are? I can't see that being moved.

As long as they stayed in the front, there is no reason they can’t be repositioned inboard slightly and even flipped.
Their function for low speed impacts would remain, and it makes sense that those would be the components retained while the plastic framework is removed.

Would be nice but typically anything as unique as this will be an option. Fixed bumpers will most likely be default but is a great idea; as long as it actually works!
I would like this to be an option.

Many people (unintentionally) partially close the air flowing towards the engine bay as seen in the picture attached, knowing that this is the only place that receives airflow coming from outside!

I have slightly modified this post to reach the idea clearly.
