Mirror rattle

I’ve noticed that my mirrors on both of my doors have started to rattle and are getting very annoying when I drive. Also have noticed when I shut my door, it kind of vibrates and make the same rattle noise.

I have held my hand on the mirror while driving and it will stop making the noise, it’s as off it is starting to come loose, but when you move it, it doesn’t feel loose.

Anyone experienced this?

mine does the same thing, just started out of no where like 2 months ago.

I'd start with removing the door panels and check for the tightness of the nuts. If you find them loose, use a drop of Locktite on the threads or replace the nuts with nylon locking nuts.

Mine was doing the same thing. I’d put my hand on it and it would go away. I found that in the seam of the housing I slipped a small thin piece of cardboard and trimmed it off with an X-Acto knife That has stopped it for the past year. Where I mean is on the black housing for the mirror. About an inch and a half back there’s a seam that runs all the way around the mirror I place the cardboard in the far outside part furthest from the door

I am intrigued by all these posts about rattles.

My 2018 Sahara is the most solidly built of 9 Jeep Wranglers I’ve owned over a span of 13 years. Even I am marveled that not one thing rattles, squeaks or buzzes!

I am intrigued by all these posts about rattles.

Why would you even utter that? Don't be surprised when you go to leave if you see a mirror on the ground.
