Pardon me if this is the wrong section, but I didn't see a Bodywork section.

So I have a smallish crease and have zero experience in bodywork. Any advice is much appreciated. Seems minor but I don't even know where to start......I don't care about perfection, just anything that looks nice from 5 ft away would be fine w me....

Go to a body shop.
I'm the type that could not drive it that way.
We share the great metallic grey.

PDR and touch up paint. Still wont look good up close, but it will look a lot better. That’s a sharp crease, so nothing will make it go away except traditional body work.

If you have no experience in body work, you'll likely not come close to a 5ft repair. take it to a shop, that's not too expensive of a repair if you're not looking for perfect. Like @The Last Cowboy said, take it to a paintless dent removal shop and see what they can do. Being a crease like that across a seam, they likely won't be able to do much, but those guys are wizards and I could definitely be wrong.

Thanks guys! Will check out a shop I guess. I was afraid they'd be way too much money. Last Insurance claim I got taken care of (when I got hit) was a slightly larger 1/4 panel hit and the dealer shop charged the Ins $5000!!!!!

Rough estimate for this would be $2-3k for the panel and the fender flare. PDR will eliminate the larger dent that spread up the panel. You can see it spread up to about the level of to the top of the reflector on the tail light. A good PDR guy can also get out the majority of the sharp crease. After that, touch up done to the areas of the crease and the damage on the fender flare. A good PDR shop either has a guy who does light touch up, or knows a guy who does. Often it's done with a sign painters brush or a small airgun.

It's amazing what can be done without going to a body shop. If done properly, you would have to know the damage was done in the first place to spot it. And those who don't know how to spot repair damage would never know. The problem with body shop pricing is insurance rates, and panel repair prices are the same whether it's minor or crunched. As the big labor cost is in prep and painting.

Well then, I may take a run at it myself. I'm pretty handy (although as a Builder, I'm admittedly better with wood, wires and pipes and such :)
Any advice on products or kits I could buy ?
