I’m considering upgrading the sound system to the MB Quart speakers and amps. Having looked at the installation instructions the rack and amps are to be mounted underneath the front passenger seat. I’ve got my air compressor there and strongly prefer not to move it. For anyone who has mounted the amps under the driver seat, how much (if any) difficulty did it add to the installation? What’s involved? Where else do some of you have the amps mounted and what did it take?

The only issue that I could see is that the drivers seat has the height adjuster and the pass side does not. I am unsure how much clearance there would be for the seat. Also you will have to fab a longer cable to the battery because the supplied cable is custom length to run from the pass side floor grommet to the battery and perhaps the soundbar line will need to be lengthened as well. Check with Quart support. Dave is very helpful.

The last install I did with two identical 5 channel Arc amps I simply mounted them flat to the floor with plenty of room. I'm not sure if the MBQ version is slanted like the JL version but I'd guess you should have plenty of room.
