Out of curiosity, how does the affiliate program through Tread Lightly or others compare to employee pricing? From what I remember that's supposed to be a haggle free invoice pricing, or x% under. So I'd imagine it doesn't stack, but does this month deal come close without having to wait for membership to get the print out?

Affiliate is max price of 1% below invoice
EP is max price of 5% below invoice

Affiliate and EP do not combine

In either case, STILL be sure you're finding a dealership that discounts FURTHER than what is guaranteed by that program!

I figured they wouldn't combine, but I'm surprised how much cheaper it is now than with the super secret affiliate discount. Fortunately I'm not looking for another jeep yet, mine isn't even 2 years old yet, but it's good to be more informed for when that day comes.

Well you've got two crack's at it.
Day of order and day of delivery, whichever is better

That's what EP / EMPLOYEE PRICING in a traditional sense would be.
This is a temporary promotion where ALL customers get the EP level max price, but it is just on retail purchase not lease.

We can still discount leased wrangler orders too, you'll see our normal pricing below invoice (6-7%) on the ratbert thread. This EP program for MAY is the exception.
Hi Anthony, thanks for the info. Do leased orders lock as well? Sorry I'm a new guy here, so I have a ton of questions. If you'd rather me email/call, happy to do that as well. Thank you!

Sometimes. If there is an incentivised lease program, yes it can be locked with a factory order. Then you would be able to swap out to the current program at time of delivery if it's better.

If it is an un-incentivized lease, then no - it's as wide open as traditional financing in that things can change so we don't really get into quoting non-lockable leases in advance.

At the moment gas wranglers = no lock lease
PHEV wranglers = yes lock lease

Thank you! Do you normally recommend people not custom order and lease? And just choose from existing vehicles on the lot? Wife is saving up for her dream jeep but we aren’t there yet.

Depends - for a 4xe we do a lot of custom orders for leases, where the rebates, money-factor, residual, are all lockable so you have the ability to quote a payment in advance.

on a gas wrangler the leases are usually NOT lockable and not incentivised, so they're not as effective for leasing as their PHEV cousins. It's not a bad thing that they're not lockable, its more so that their not incentivised.

Still though, with high volume dealers you can often get a better price below invoice on an order than instock, if you're comparing current model year not prior.

I ordered with you tomorrow but concerned about getting a fair trade in allowance after giving a nonrefundable deposit.

Not sure I follow - hard to tell who is who on forums and what we've discussed - but short answer is we cannot guarantee a trade value in advance when placing a factory order. We CAN do a remote appraisal when the new Jeep is in transit. That way the timeline is short enough that the value is much more stable, BUT you still have time to do your due-diligence to see if trading in, selling locally, etc, will yield the best results overall. There are a few variables that triangulate that decision point like your distance (cost of shipping/driving), sales tax (savings by trading in), trade value, etc.
