I'm going to be installing a 2.5-3 inch lift on my Rubicon, and I'm trying to finalize what tires to run. I've settled on Mastercraft Courser MXT's, but am unsure on going with 35-12.5-17 or 315-70-17. The 315s are about $32 cheaper per tire and don't want to spend money for no reason.
Both are a shade under 35 for overall diameter, and both weigh 64 lbs. The 315s have a load range of D, while the 35s are E. The measured rim width on the 315s is 9.5, while the 35's is 10. These will be mounted on Procomp 69 series 17x9 wheels (7069-7973), so I don't know if that makes a huge difference.
I'm leaning toward the 315s, but figured I ask some people that might have experience first. Thanks
