New to the group, I couldn’t see another thread on this. Long story short, my 2020 JL was rear ended and the frame twisted. Insurance replaced the frame but obviously everything had to come off. Body, engine, trans the lot. I just got it back and now the down shift into second from third has changed. The shifter can slide toward the reverse gear on the downshift and gets stuck in the gate. If you keep the shifter centered it will slide into second ok but Jeep dealer claims this is a common issue. I claim BS as it shifted fine before. Anyone else experience this issue in a manual ? I don’t want to have to “work around” the issue.

No. Sorry I have not.

Did you use the shifter as support (hand on the shifter) during the accident. You may have bent the shifter or damaged the plastic pivot cup.

We've got a 2018 JL manual, and a 2021 JL manual - neither has any sort of sloppiness in the downsifts (or upshifts). I think the repair folks owe you a proper repair - something isn't aligned the way it's supposed to be.
