Ok, now I don't feel so bad about mine, even though yours still seems to be less of a gap. Perhaps I'll get off of work early enough tomorrow to get pics in the light. But even with this gap, it's still so much better than the OEM couch it came with, or at least it will be when I figure out these darn sensors.

We all have this gap with US steel bumper because it attaches to the frame and there's no way you can bring it closer. I have the winch installed, so I can't use the plastic filler. I don't have better photos now, but believe me - You will get used to it very soon ))

Did anyone find a way to eliminate the erratic outer sensor issue with this bumper? I've now received one, however I've yet to install it and it would be good to have a solution before I start the install.

there was a thread where the member was having issues getting the sensors he removed from his plastic bumper into a new steel bumper...he simply ordered 8 different small parts for the sensors that were designed for the steel bumper

What I did was to remove the corner (middle) sensor and relocated it to plastic cover like in this pic. I still have the outer sensors at the end of the bumper but most of my problems went away. It still beeps randomly at times, but not so much that I can't leave the sensors turned on. Eventually I'll relocate the outer sensors so that all would match this photo and then have the option to remove the bumper extensions.

Hey Ritchie,

I've encountered this exactly problem, and in my case the issue was that due to the front bumper caps' curved design the outer park sensors touched the inner metal surface of the bumper with their plug connectors. Since there's always some vibration on the frame from the engine, I suppose it could activate the sensors spontaneously. It was really driving me crazy as I couldn't find any reason why it was happening for a very long time. Finally, I trimmed the connectors, welded the wires directly to the sensors' pins and - voila - never have had a single false alarm since then. The 4 sensors in the center are in the plastic cap as you can see on my picture - never caused any problem.
And as it was reasonably mentioned above, it makes sense ordering plastic OEM mounts/bezels for the sensors that are used in the rear bumper - you can easily use them for the front as well (order at least 2 pieces of each mount/bezel as depending on the holes' location in your front bumper you might need, for example, 2 right outer mounts from the rear bumper, etc...). If you need any other info/help - do not hesitate to PM me.
Good luck!

P.S. Here's my original post. And if you search through my posts - you'll find all the part numbers and other comments on this topic.

NYLONZ, what is the tyre size ?
Does it extend past the fender flare ?
Do you have any lift ?

Thanks
