M210 Dana 44 Front Axle Question/Help

Afternoon, all-

i have a 2022 JLR that I am performing a swap on the differential covers to. I swapped out the rear end yesterday just fine, but today on the front end I’ve hit a brick wall. I am swapping out the OEM for a set of Yukon Hardcores. The M220 on the rear end went on just fine…. But my M210 cover for the front end appears to be slightly too big. All research I did prior to this work indicated that my Wrangler Rubicon came with M220/M210 R/F Dana 44s. I have verified the part I received is a D44JL-Front M210 version. It was very clearly packed at the factory and not a returned part.

Am I wrong? Does a 2022 JLR Wrangler Rubicon not come with an M210 front axle?

It does comes with the 210 front axle.

Can you reply with a picture of the cover you're trying to install and the box it came in, please?

There was a revision to the M210 that removed the drain plug, but I didn’t think it changed any diff dimensions, that’d be a big deal.
A mis-pack seems likely here. Right label, wrong part picked from the shelf or bins.

i wanted to ensure it wasn’t my mistake before I reach out to where I got it…. But it does indeed appear to be their mistake.

Sorry for the sideway pictures. Left is the OEM rear cover, to he right is the OEM front cover. The diff cover in the middle is from the box shown. Same size as the 220…. And the bolt holes do not align with the front.

Yeah, you just got a 220 cover in the 210 box. They'll ship you the right one.
