Dana M210 front axle understanding

I found the build sheet for my 2019 Sahara online (finally) and I saw that it has the dana m210 front and dana m220 rear axles. I bought this car from an auction and it seems like the previous owner really decked it out and from what I read online somewhere these are the same axles as dana 44 axles in rubicons is that correct? my car has been in a collision and the front axle housing has gone kaput and snapped on one side and Im in need of a replacement so can I just buy a dana 44 front axle for my JLU Sahara and call it a day?

that does look like the rubicon axle package to medoes the front have CV joints or standard U-Joint. the saharas with the smaller m186 M200 axles set with full time 4 wheel drive was built with CV joints but with the build sheet it looks like it has the rubicon M210/M220 dana 44 axles. I would just pick up a new M210 per build sheet. just make sure you check you rear axles gear ratio that its 3.73:1 or that the front and rear match ratios

I'm assuming that's a typo. There was no way to order the Sahara with a 210 front axle in 2019. There are also 2 different widths for the 220 and only one width (wider for the Rubicon) available for the 210. I'd wait and see if you can get some part numbers before ordering anything.

My 2019 Rubicon Build Sheet specificalky says Dana 210 Wide Front Axle.

Your sheet also says 2.2L turbo diesel, so maybe it has upgraded narrow/standard width front axles.

it is a diesel. i believe diesels come with d44 front and rear. and they are probably the short d44s, not the wide rubicons. can you post picture of the axles?

So no. You dont have rubicon axles. You have the non wide d44s

That may only apply in the US, where you can't get the 2.2 diesel.

Other configurations may exist in builds for other countries that get the 2.2 diesel.

But yes, it is a good idea to get some part numbers off the axle housing before replacing it, just to be sure about what is needed.

The U.S. diesel Wrangler, as stated before, is supplied with an m210 front axle. It was released in late 2019 so I suppose it's POSSIBLE that a 2019 has a diesel. Not probable, but possible. I have a friend that bought a new Ford escape that was labeled and VIN'd as AWD but was a 2 WD. Anything is possible.

Yes I believe the 4Xe comes with dana44s.

Easy button is buy a gladiator front axle. Unless its a Rubicon, Max tow or Mojave, thats the normal (cheaper) front axle. Being in the UK might make it a little more complicated though.
