So I'm looking to upgrade my suspension/steering. I've researched the forums as much as possible and have a few remaining questions that I'd like input on.

80% daily driver, looking for better than factory steering (tighter) and a little more clearance for the 37"s. Only current mods that would affect this are:

Method 17"s w/ 37" Tires
Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer

I plan to purchase the components shown at the bottom and my questions are:

Is the RK 2.5" enough or will I regret not getting the 3.5"? Would the 3.5" end up pushing me to require more mods VS the 3.5"?

I like that the RK RRD shocks are pro-tuned for this lift but I don't want to miss out on the Fox 2.5's if they are truly able to be tuned/perform better than the RRD's.

I saw RK offers a drag link & tie rod as well, should I go with RPM as planned or RK?

I have a feeling that simple bump stops would be fine but I really like the idea of the hydraulic ones. A little worried about drilling the frame for the rears.

-Rock Krawler Ult Adv 2.5" w/RRD or Fox 2.5's
SKU: JL25UA-392S1
or
883-26-056
883-26-052

-RPM Steering 2.5 ton steering kit
Part Number: RPM-2001

-Fox Hydraulic front/rear bump stops
883-02-167
883-02-168

I am unable to answer any of your questions. Sorry! Just wanted to comment that your Jeep is a beast! Looking good.

Most of the quality lift kits will net you a bit more than advertised, so 2.5" will likely suffice. If you go 3.5" be prepared for a front driveshaft replacement as well. The RK kit doesn't include a rear track bar - just relocates the factory one. That may be fine, but if not you'll need to buy one that's adjustable or look into a kit that comes with one. My suggestion would be to look at Metalcloak Game Changer. Price is essentially the same.

Accutune seems to be the goto for shocks that are setup specifically for your vehicle and desired usage. I'd call them before making a decision.

I don't have any personal experience with any of the aftermarket tie rods or draglinks, but I've read that there's potential for wheel rubbing issues depending on your wheel specs.

Hydraulic bumps are overkill 99% of the time. You likely won't be able to tell the difference from the driver seat.

My 2 cents. With your motor weight and tire size I would go 3 to 3.5". Also I would invest in a better brand as you will have wear on parts faster with that size and motor. I probably look into EVO, Clayton, Synergy, or MC. Swap your aluminum knuckles out for steel (Reid) and change your ball joints to HD. Get f and r track bars along with tie rod and DL. All 8 arms are not needed unless you plan on decent wheeling but at this point get them. Again with that tire look into a sector brace. At 3.5 you will need a drive shaft for sure. Accutune Fox with the med duty valving or soft with adjusters (again motor and tire size). Last don't forget your ring and pinion gearing and wear there is a great YT from Driveing Line X Axle Line (Arron lechner) that breaks it down. You HP and TQ can push the tire but your suspension and R&P will need to support it.

Main thing to prepare for is wear to prevent DW. Make sure whom ever is installing cranks everything down to spec ++!

Great looking ride BTW.

I have used MC And RK i wasn’t happy with MC on my Diesel even using front spring correction pads the would bow, so Rock Krawler i had on my Gladiator was super awesome and could handle weight very good towing a trailer, call RK and ask them what they recommend for your Jeep. They are cool guy’s and will help you decide, as far as tie-rod, drag-link go with RPM aluminum i had this and it was way better than MC,yeti’s,synergy. But my 2nd choice would be synergy. I also had Clayton control arms on the Gladiator and they make a great product. I switched from Fox to King on the gladiator and it was the smoothest ride i ever had

I do not have experience with the RK lift on JL's but have used their lifts in the past. They make nice lifts and have good customer service. I went Metalcloak 2.5 Gamechanger with RPM steering and a Steersmart brace. I also have the fox 2.5's on it.

The shock extended length is going to dictate if you need a driveshaft or not. Not lift height. The fox shocks you listed will for sure need a driveshaft. I went with the next size down from the ones you listed. 883-26-051 front and 883-26-054 rear. Both have a extended length of 28.5 and a compressed of just over 17. 11 inches of travel. You give up about a inch and a half of droop and gain up-travel. My set-up nets me 5" up and 6" droop. My jeep is a daily driver. I use it offroad (light to moderate) one to two times a week. I do some rock crawling and more extreme offroading a handful of times a year. I am not a serious rock crawler. I do want my jeep to be able to handle anything I throw at it and It does.

If you are a serious rock crawler then you might use all the droop. Be honest with your usage/needs.

As a side note. A lot of people running after market driveshafts on the 392 are having vibration issues when setting caster more 5 or so degrees after a lift. Even with the stock driveshaft I experienced some vibration after lift. I got it at almost 6 even now and it is not vibrating. Anything more and it comes back. Take those that recommend a driveshaft that DO NOT have a 392 with a grain of salt. Apples and oranges.
