In the back of my Rubicon, I have that little "hidden" storage area, and I keep it full with a battery jumper, tow rope, gloves, etc. Nothing that I couldn't just toss in a bag in the back seat, but I do like it hidden and out of the way.
It really isn't a problem until I have my fridge in the back of my jeep, and that usually sits on the left side next to the power outlet (where my Helinox chair is in the picture). I was also considering adding a slide, which is more of a permanent fixture and that would pretty much make this area unusable. Is there someone that makes a replacement lid or cover that is split and only half of it opens? Basically it would be ideal to be split right where the pull tab is.
