I do a lot of hiking in parks, I have a year pass to most and some I buy a day permit. I plan on having top off all summer, has anyone found a good lockable case (I would like to think nobody would steal a pass, but now days..)?

I found a few motorcycle plastic sleeve via google, but was just wondering if there was a solution people are using?

People really steal park passes there?
Not going to assume anything left out worth 60+ dollars in an easy to grab spot is not gonna get swiped. People are the same all over the world, bigger cities get more bad stuff, smaller have less. There used to be near zero crime in northern CA, tech boom has brought people in from all over the world, both good and bad.

I jsut bought my yearly pass and thought.. where will I put this when my jeep finally comes... I am willing to bet my brothers cj has some ultra cool crafted amazing solution that new jeep owners are not allowed to buy, but hey I am late to the party, what can I buy lol

The center console and glove box do lock but they are just plastic lock, enough to keep honest people out but if someone tried easy to break.

Tuffy and a few other companies make lock boxes, right now only universal boxes but they will probably come out with jl specific boxes.

Other things I have seen people do is get a ammo box and bolt it down somewhere.

Won't they give you a ticket if they see you parked without it?
Ohhhh! I wasn’t getting it. OP is talking about something to secure it while it’s being displayed. I was thinking a place to lock it stored away. Disregard my comment. I’m an idiot.

If it is a yearly pass, how about making a color photocopy of it? Then you can just keep the original with you if anyone questions it, and display the copy. If someone swipes your copy, you still have the original.

Ya will have to check on that. Could always take a picture of it, esp day passes on phone I guess and deal with any issues..

Saw a few motorcycle options, only really need a simple thin cable and a small clear box/pouch. Will talk to motorcycle guys at work, I would bet someone has this figured out.

I got the model 45 its perfect to hold a season park pass, so its great to go leave jeep topless and go for a hike with dogs.
It locks easily to handle by window, and will stop someone from jsut snatching it, obviously a determined person with cutters can get it, but that gets peoples attention

ABOUT THE DECAL

1. What is a Decal? Decals provide a way for Annual Pass owners with open-top vehicles (jeeps, motorcycles, etc.) to demonstrate valid Pass ownership at Federal recreation sites that do not have staffed entrance stations. Affixing a decal to an open-top vehicle allows visitors to demonstrate pass ownership without leaving the Annual Pass unsecured in their vehicle.

2. If I present my Decal for entry at a staffed entrance station at a Federal recreation site will I be allowed to enter? No. Decals alone will not be sufficient for entry; you must show a valid pass.

3. Where can I get a Decal? Decals will be available to valid Annual Pass owners, free-of-charge, at Federal recreation areas that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity fee, and at some Federal agency offices.
