Let's See Some JLU Gutter Mounted Crossbars

Do these lock in some way? Look like quick release which would equal a quick theft in my area.

Just catching up; looks like Mad Hatter already answered this. Essentially I bought them without locks but then purchased the Thule lock kit all keyed alike to retrofit the locks into the mounts so they can't just be removed. Locks were expensive-ish; I got them at EMS with a coupon and some store credit to take the sting out of it.

Mopar Jeep branded gutter mount Crossbars and "Mopar" Watersport carriers which are Thule Glide & Set. They've worked great for the few months I used them so far. I've carried 2 kayaks or a kayak and a SUP.
I followed the mounting directions, but when I put them back on in the spring, I'm going to mount the rear bar a bit further rearward. I wouldn't mount crossbars to the freedom panels because I like to travel to the lake or rivers with the panels off.

I really want the ability to mount a RTT on my 2-door, and options are really limited. No backbone yet and maybe never. Maximus 3 has an option, but it adds a lot of weight with the pioneer platform and it’s not the ideal mount for a tent, but it could work. But gutter mount would be an easier option to install and remove as needed.

I’ve been looking at these but can’t find much info outside of their site. I’m curious if anyone has any thoughts or experience with them?

It's AVS. I'm not sure I like the look and also not sure it actually helps. But it's a good quality part.

I have Thule adjustable cross bars.
Be aware that that type of cross bar may not fit toward the rear as the rear roof section is narrower than front section over the freedom panels. I am wary of mounting cross bars over the freedom panels.

I thought so. Thanks. Those are the ones I wanted and let hubs and the guy who did my mods talk me into something else. They thought I needed more width with a 37” tire. But I’ll always LOVE those wheels!

Mopar bars here. 85+ lb WS Tarpon 14 kayak and no problems yet.

This is what I love about Wranglers! Specialized mods to suite an individual! This totally rocks!
