Curious if any one that had a lemon was able to get the dealership to pay for any upgrades you might have done before realizing you had a lemon? Looking at things like skid plates, winch, lights...etc. Or were you able to remove those parts or did you just have to take a loss on it?
Took my 2023 Rubicon with a whopping 5800 miles on it in for what I thought was just a locker sensor error but I've lost track on what all they've supposedly replaced beyond the sensor...then replaced the axle...and supposedly the DTC module...60 days and counting.
Thanks!

I had a POS 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 Lariat. 9 months from new to buy back. You will pay a usage fee based on mileage that’s deducted from cost of vehicle.

Anything of value take it off prior to buy back and sell on your own.

No first-hand experience, but from what I've read restore it to stock as much as you can before you take it in because upgrades/mods won't factor in to the value.

sadly I had just finished adding all the things I wanted for the next year or two when the error started happening and I'm going back and forth with myself on trying to push for a buyback and start over or wait for them to fix it knowing in the end it'll just speed up the process for me to start doing other mods that'll void the warranty.

Just frustrated because it seems like a problem that has been thoroughly discussed and experienced by many over the last few years is still causing Jeep to struggle fixing it....that and I'm wondering if I truly got a lemon or it's just a tech that originally got a bad part to fix my issue and now is digging a deeper hole throwing things at the wall to see if anything sticks. Supposedly the engineers back east are involved...but who knows at this point.

FYI I tried almost a year to have the dealer and factory repair my vibration on my 22 Sahara that the dealer fail to do. I called 1800 lemonlaw who tried also with the factory with no luck. I decided to proceed and file a claim with a lemon law case. I was then told by my attorney that it would over a year to have the case heard. I said no I need to move on and I dropped my case.
I am currently working again with my dealership to get me into a new Jeep at a cost. We shall see as the replacement is due in soon. Point …if you have issues early on that can not be repaired get out or replace with new. In my 40 years of having transportation this is the worst customer service EVER!!!!!!

These are contacts I used a couple years ago for my lemon. No ideas if they are still there but maybe it helps. From start to finish the BBB took less than 30 days from start of me creating an account online to my buy back. Free of charge and I did the paperwork on my phone in under 10 min.

lemon attorneys don’t charge you but will take forever and require tons of supporting paperwork and will only start AFTER vehicle is fixed. BBB only cared about the 60 day repair time. My Ranger was still in shop when BBB got involved.

This lady was helping Mr Barnes after my case was halfway completed and was very fast in communication and may get you an answer sooner.

This is a linky to my story with more detail. It’s info that can help with the Jeep but if mods have issues then they can do as needed, but it is helpful to others going thru this drama.

Dealer will NOT pay for any upgrades, even that cardboard pine tree smell good hanging from your rear view mirror you bought at Wal Mart for $0.98 now even that!

Think on it: You pull along side a 1 off Ford GT 40 at the light. you love the paint job and ask where can you get you Jeep painted like, that. He says Ford will do it.

You drive to a Ford Dealer and she ship your Jeep off to Dearborn and it gets painted. You love it and yes it was a $300,00 dollar paint job (NO NOT KIDDING, this is for real). But you had won the big lottery and money meant nothing

You start have issues and Jeep says you can Lemon Law it...do you think they are going to cut you a check for $300k for your custom paint job?

Yes, there was a couple of years ago and Custom built GT 40 and the paint job used some unobtainium metal in the paint or something like that and Ford painted for the guy at a cost of $300k + the cost of the GT 40 which I think was another $700k.

Fellows the point on a brand new defective 2022 Sahara with 400 miles on it and now 16 months later should never happen. In my experience I have learned that I will Never by a Chrysler product again. If you modify your Jeep in anyway you will only hear cricket’s. For the record I have a one inch file with all the support documentation and backup to my claim and it made no difference.
if you decide to by one take in out for a long long test new or used.
Good luck to all.

I had a 4xe with a evap problem. It stayed in the shop 4 wks out of the 6 wks we owned it. My dealer said it would be a while as they had to change a part of the time untill they found it. We talked to the dealer got out of it and got a new one. We had no way of knowing when it may be fixed. We lost alittle on the deal but so glad to have that 4xe gone
