I know the OEM LED headlights from the LED package are great and I also know the Oculus Bi-LED headlights but is there a reason to switch the OEM ones for the Oculus? I can always sell the one not used.
TIA!!

I have the Oculus and I am very pleased. But, I would not switch if only to avoid adding complexity to your wiring system. In the long run you will not notice the difference.

Running a wire from the headlights to a fuse isn’t all that complex.
There’s absolutely no reason to get rid of OEM LED headlights for an aftermarket set. Unless you prefer the look of the Oculus I guess.

I'd stick with the original LED's. Work great and look great! Don't know much about Oculus performance but it probably is not equal to the original equipment. My 2 cents.

I agree the OEM lights do perform well and they are expensive. However, ORACLE did do a wall test comparison of the Mopar light vs the Oculus. The output, cut off, and overall throw of the light was in favor of the Oculus. Feel free to look at the photos below.

Don’t misunderstand what I’m saying.
I’ve had the Oculus Bi-LED installed pretty much since they were released. I’m very happy with them and the cutoff is phenomenal.

That said, my Jeep was equipped with the garbage halogen lights - so an upgrade was necessary .

If my Jeep had been equipped with OEM LEDs, I’d have waited until I had an issue before I tossed a pair of $1000.00 dollar headlights to the side.

?? that’s as of 10/21/22

Whenever I make the move to PA I may invest in the oculus heated lights. Otherwise the LEDs in the halogen reflector work pretty well for me.

I'm a big fan of the Oculus setup - there's no question it is significantly better than the OEM LEDs. However, I don't think I would go through the trouble to upgrade FROM the OEM LEDs. With headlights there's this "good enough" line that once you are over, increases in performance lose a lot of their benefit. The stock setup is more than good enough.

I have both sets in different Jeeps. The Oculus are superior in every way. I would not swap the OEM LED headlights out for them though. The OEM lights are decent.

Do you have to change the computer with Tazer to accept Oracle LED from Halogen? I heard some say you do due to flickering and others say you don't with the Oracle Oculus? Thanks
