Bought some Beamtech H13 replacement LEDs to replace the halogen bulbs. Went to install and they did not seat as tight as the halogen bulbs so I returned them, it was like the silicone seal wasn’t thick enough.
Any suggestions on better options, I don’t want to get the full replacement headlights, not a fan of the multi-colored options.

I've always had good luck with Lasfit. Have a set here that am going to use to replace another brand (I didn't pick them out and one is flickering) in my work truck even. Very good customer service as well.

I've been playing around with AliExpress H13 LED headlights for about 6 months now, they work decently, I haven't had any issues with any of them seating poorly.

Before that I was running the same pair of Beamtechs' which I've had for 6 years now. Ran them in my 2016 Patriot and 2021 JLU with zero issues.

Only thing I can think of why your BeamTech's might not have been seating properly, is if you were missing the rubber ring which comes with them...

That one with the blue rubber ring, my most recent purchase from China, one of them came without a rubber ring and I ended up borrowing one from my BeamTechs. Without those rubber rings, it won't seat properly and will be extremely loose.

Those ones on the right, with the orangish red rubber ring, those were a $6 pair of H13 LED headlights from China. They seated just fine. Maybe you got an unlucky batch which was deformed?

Have you looked into the possibility that your headlight assembly is a little bit warped?

The silicon seal was there but seamed to be not as thick and did not put much tension on the housing seal, I even tried swapping the seals out with original ones. Mine seamed to be a little different, plus went directly into the back of the LED, no wires. The Beamtech had good reviews so that’s why I went with those.

If the bulb seats enough that it doesn't wiggle in place it should be fine, shouldn't it? The plastic cap that goes on over it has a second seal that should keep out moisture.

Are the Beamtech fog light bulbs the same as the headlight bulbs? I ask because the first few options I saw on Amazon looked like headlight bulbs, but were listed for fog lights in the description.

I've got a set I'm going to be installing hopefully this weekend.

I bought the H13 headlights, and while the assembly seated, it was loose, could it have worked, yes, but due to how loose it was I felt I was going to get vibration. I have a aftermarket bumper and a winch and I have to remove the power block from the top of the winch to pull the grill. I didn’t want to battle that al over knowing I was not going to be happy. Everything was undamaged or warped so that’s not the case, just a thin gasket.

Curious. I hope you find a set that fits better.

Bought a set of Sylvania LED’s from Autozone. Quite happy and fit perfectly in my ‘23

Sorry to read about your middling luck here, Brian. Coincidentally, I recently installed a 2nd set of Beamtech H13 LEDs, to replace the originals (where one bulb had a premature and partial LED failure.) Both pairs seated rather snugly, so much so that I took care to not force anything during installation.

I bought a set of Firehawk LED bulbs off Amazon over a year ago with that exact problem. My local hardware store had some large round rubber washers that I cut down to fit against the bulbs built in seal. I ran them like that for over a year and never had a problem.

I've been using Lasfit for about the last 3 months, I think I paid something like $48, flawless!

Best of luck
