Hi everyone,

I’m new to the JL community and am looking into upgrades. I was curious to see some opinions on LED halogens for the JLU.

Thank you!

You mean you have halogens and want to go to LED?

Your stock headlights are halogen. You can either try to put LED bulbs in those stock lights (not recommended), go with an aftermarket LED light, or go with the MOPAR LED light set that they put on with their LED light package.

Gotcha. I didn’t get the LED package so my lights are just the bulbs.

If you search the forums there are a lot of threads about the LED headlights. The problem with just putting the LED bulbs in is that the halogen reflectors are not very good for LED lights, and they have a tendency to scatter the light and you will end up getting "flashed" a lot by other drivers due to you blinding them with your led lights.

There are new 9" led (complete setup) coming out by Inspired Engineering that look pretty sweet. You can see them here. I do not work for them nor do I get paid anything to endorse them.

There are other choices if you go to Amazon as well. I would just start searching on this site for LED lights and you will get all kinds of information.

Good luck!
