Question I was hoping someone might know. I looked but didn't find anything.

I would like to replace the OEM halogen bulbs for LED bulbs.

Question is, anyone done this and can you tell me if you retain the jeep grill inside the OEM housing.

Thanks

Yes you do. All you swap is the bulb. Make sure you get the correct, 2-sided led bulbs and that the diodes point to 3 and 9 o’clock when installed.

do not get the led headlight bulbs that are covered in led diodes.

Sealight is a good brand for aftermarket LED bulbs that retain a near perfect beam pattern.

Thank you!

I did not know all that. I like my stock lights and the little jeep grill.

I will check out the sealight's. I also looked at the Oracle.

Some sources say to get the ones with the built in chip? Know anything about this?

Thanks.

I did this recently. Went with Sealight for the headlights and LASFIT (forum sponsor) for the DRLs/turn signals. Already had LED fogs and rears.

No issues here - probably not as good of a beam as true LED, but for a fraction of the price, they're good enough (and better than the factory halogens)

Thank u all for the replies. I will do some research.

My thinking is the same as others. I know there probably not as good as the actual LED light. But as stated much improvement over the halogens for a lot less. Plus if one goes out it's a cheap easy replacement.

I did this on most of my motorcycles over the years. They were older bikes like me. Lol, and came with a 55-60 low and high H4s that sucked bad especially when all you have is the one light, and the LED replacement bulbs were always a nice improvement.

Now I just have to figure out which ones to get.

Thanks again.

I just swapped out the bulbs on my son's 2019 Wrangler last weekend. Easy project and we are super happy with these Beamtech bulbs (recommended on a previous thread)...

Amazon.com: BEAMTECH H13/9008 Bulbs, S1 Series Fanless 300% Brighter 6500K White Fog Light for Car Powersports ATV UTV, Pack of 2 : Automotive .

We also swapped out the fog light bulbs with these Alla Lighting bulbs (also recommended on the Forum)...

Amazon.com: Alla Lighting CANBUS 2504 PSX24W LED Fog Lights Bulbs 12276, 6000K Xenon White Xtreme Super Bright 80W High Power Chipsets12V Replacement : Automotive
