Couple weeks back I traded my Ocean Blue 2018 JLR for this guy...a 2022 392! I had been thinking about a 392 for a while, but waffling on giving up the 2-door Manual life. That said...I'm still a nut for big loud V8s and so the 392 kept calling to me. LOL I had thought about ordering a 2024, but I absolutely did not want the red seats so that turned me off of that idea completely. Figured I'd wait and search around for a good low-mile used one. This guy happened to pop up locally in one of the two color I would want. As much as I still wasn't sure I'd like a 4-door, I think they had me as soon as I heard it crank up the first time! ? A few days of bickering on price and it came home with me.
Really loving the power vs. the somewhat anemic 3.6, and I honestly didn't expect how much better the road manners would compared to my old JLR. Spent most of last week on a road trip for work and the handling is so much nicer!
Finally finished a few initial projects and got it all cleaned up for some pics. The Fuel Blitz were transferred over from my 2018, though I think the slight bronze tint looks even better on this one, going along with the 392's bronze accents. (I get that big rims aren't for everyone's taste, but I like the look better than the stock rims) Added a Teraflex HD Carrier on the back to get the beg wheel a bit closer to the Jeep, which was something I'd never gotten around to on the 2018, and the look and fit is much better over the wheel sticking out on the stock carrier. Added a Fox Stabilizer to tighten up the steering a bit and also had one of the online decal shops help me with some custom design fender vents and a 392 decal for the back. I wanted to play up a checkered flag theme instead of the usual fender vent themes. I thought the racing theme fit the big Hemi a little better! ?
