New here. Traded my 2017 Sahara for a new 2023 JLUR 4xe. I traded the Sahara with the stock wheels and tires and moved my 35” KO2 (load E) and wheels to the JLUR (10k miles on them)

As it currently sits.

Going for 37” tires. Just ordered a set of 37” KO2. Now deciding on the lift kit. For the sake of warranty issues I’m going with the Mopar 2” lift kit unless I hear it’s the worse mistake ever. My question is Fox or Bilstein shocks? Which package to choose and why?

The Sahara came with dual top and I still have the brand new never mounted soft top kit. Also have the flashcal F5 that was married to the Sahara (unmarried now) and I plan on selling the 35s KO2. Out of curiosity how much do you think they could go for? Thanks!

MAKE SURE you upgrade your steering damper, ASAP. The 35s alone will cause a death wobble on a 4XE very, very quickly.

I appreciate alpha's advice as an experienced mopar service tech. He's a great help in this forum.

In my build, however, I have not yet need to replace any steering components. I installed 37's and a lift at about 20,000 miles. I Have driven 30,000 miles since then. I do wheel my jeep off road. I regularly check the tie-rod ends and other components regularly for looseness. Others I trust have also suggested upgrades to the steering system, and I expect it may be one of the next mods I make. Your mileage may vary, so I'm not going to tell you what to do.

Now, regarding your lift. Read some of the other threads in the 4xe section. Others that have done the Mopar kit on a 4xe have reported minimal lift, maybe an inch tops. It may not provide what you want for 37's (although depending on wheel choice you can actually run them without a lift, if you don't go off-road). I suggest a 3.5" lift if you want 37's. Otherwise, 35's might be more your speed if you don't go off-road and don't want too high of a Jeep.

Obviously, if you do increase your tire size, tire weight goes up too, and fuel/electric efficiency goes down. One nice thing about 4xe is that a ring/pinion gear ratio change is not really necessary, due to the high torque of the electric motor. It's something you can do, but many, including myself, have not found a need for.

I personally like the FOX one myself. Try giving the Mojave/392 dampers a go. They're MUCH cheaper than even the OEM 4xe one and are way beefed up in comparison. No idea why they're cheaper, I guess supplier nonsense.

Thank you! Much appreciated! It’s a bummer if the mopar lift kit doesn’t really deliver height wise. I thought the specific 4xe version of the kit would make sure the desired lift is achieved. Time to re-think my options.

37” K02 mounted. No rubbing even on uneven roads / streets or going over potholes and dips. 2.5” lift should be more than enough for off roads.

Meanwhile the tazer JL mini instal did not go smoothly. I now have ABS and traction lights on. Probably procedural error. Will reset, unmarry and try again tomorrow.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the Tazer. Still have codes but all working good. Will drive a bit and see if the codes

You ended up going with the mopar 2” lift and the 37s clear? I have the mopar lift but I added .5” spacers to get a bit more. I’m planning of switching my 35s for 37s soon.
