Subarus have a heating element that keeps the blades "warm". The elements are on the dash where the blades park. I very much appreciated that feature, and I wish my Wrangler had it.
It's funny they haven't added it yet since other Jeep models have or can get this feature now.

I had these on my Subaru Forester as well - was a great feature for sure, I wish the cold weather package for Jeep would include them...

Gonna get the Duralast winter for next year. Added the 5/8” square plugs to the defrost vent in the middle to force the air to the outside. Seemed a little better in actually defrosting the windshield on the sides. No significant snow since to compare
