When I was at UNC, we would go wheeling down a power line road in Carborro off Smith Level road near BPW Club road. That was 14 years ago though (good lord, I'm getting old).

There were some massive holes on that road. I watched a Chevy on 40s get hydrolocked in a hole out there (you could bypass all the big holes).

Not sure what it's like now and of course it's not quite on the up and up like going to Uwharrie.

That's not far from me.

Doc fee is substantially lower at TriCity plus I've been told that don't add on any of that ridiculous crap.

Hendrick and Lake Norman Chrysler are the two worst offenders in the Charlotte area. With Keffer being a close third. I went to Benson in South Carolina to get mine. This was before Tri City started dealing. Good folks at Benson. Bill Sudermann sales guy has called three times since I purchased to see how things are going.

Indian Trail has been pretty good so far, Jon Hinson & Dan Phannareth have been helpful/responsive, as well as the owner Tom Wilson. I get the feeling they are having as hard of a time with Jeep as us!

I didn't know Indian Trail had a Jeep steelership. Are they hooking people up with deals?

My recollection is that they are relatively new, perhaps a spinoff of folks that used to work at Keffer. As such, definitely need to push volume.

Just sent in my deposit for my JLU Sahara. Worked with Travis from Tri City, and I definitely have to say after talking to at least 8 other dealers, he was definitely the most responsive, knowledgeable, and had the best overall deal out there! Just waiting on the VON now, and hopefully I can have the patience to wait 8+ weeks for the build!!

Where are you located? We can drive on the beach Oct-Mar here in Surf City ($60) Freeman Park down in Carolina Beach is year round ($120?) When I interviewed for the job down here the rental car company gave me a Wrangler and I drove it on Carolina Beach. Top down and radio up, it was a blast.

I drive on Corolla Beach a few years ago when on vacation (Chevy Suburban). It was a good time. Being in a Jeep will be even better though especially when I have my own!
