After two JLURs (2018 Rubicon and 2024 Rubicon 392), I am going back to a 2dr (had a YJ), I have a 2026 Rubicon 2dr with the XR package on order, being built the week of April 27th. My wife is vertically challenged so I need to add side steps to my new Jeep and looking for suggestions/recommendations from the Forum 2dr. members. I had GOAT step sliders on the 392 and Mopar tube style on the 2018. I am not concerned with removing the rock rails. If there is already thread about this, please direct me to it as I did find one for 2 doors. Thanks!!

Do you need one that drops down a bunch? If not the Mopar performance sliders have a pretty decent step to them but dont hang down to catch on stuff.

Thank you, I will check them out to see if they are wide enough for her. It is more about width than drop. I always add a grab handle to the roll bar for her to grab.

I have the Moper performance side rails on my Wilily’s. They are a bit wider than the stock Rubicon side rails, and will work as a step, but if you are looking for an actual step that will act as a slider to, look at Goat Fab or LOD. Here are a couple of pictures for reference. I am looking at replacing the Mopar steps.

I'm also using the Mopar Rock Sliders on my 23 Wrangler Rubi 2 Dr. My. Wrangler has a 3 1/2" to 4" Lift so my wife has to step up some in order to get in.

Thanks for the measurement, she will need something wider. I had GOAT Fab on my last JL. I am looking for something else for my 2dr.

I also have the Mopar performance sliders and they're enough for me with the stock 33" Willys tires.

I'm 5'6" and I use them more as a balance than a step, though.

I got these off Amazon for under $250. Been on for almost 2 years and still good (no corrosion and still solid). The top of the step is right at the bottom of the frame rails. They do replace the rock rails.

I have the LOD side steps on mine, they are great. Here’s what they look like:

Thanks, they do look great, fit nice against the rocker. How is the installation?

They definitely look strong. Thanks, on the heads up on the powder coat. Rust is an issue in MI.

They are really easy to install, everything you need is included and the instructions are easy to follow.
