Took a few snaps this morning of the new JL next to my 2015 Hard Rock. I knew there would be a difference but pleasantly surprised in the difference. Love it! I haven’t been able to dig real deep and play with it yet but as I posted the first night the infotainment is BA and the Alpine flawless! It was cool this morning when I remotely started from inside the house and when I went outside the heated seats and heated steering wheel were on. I had yet to use them or turn them on but they were on this morning. Most be something when if the temp is low enough they come on automatic. Pretty cool. I had remote start and heated seats in my 2015 but it didn’t do that. Plus finally they have put heated seats in it that actually get hot. My last two JK’s didn’t. Let’s see. A bunch of other cool surprises. Like I said the other night. They took something we love and made it 100% better. Getting off track. Here’s a few side by side pics. JKU vs JLU..

The auto on of heated seats and steering wheel is a nice touch, I think they kick on around 40° or something like that. Glad to hear they rolled that out on the Wrangler. Our Ram has that feature, though oddly it only kicks on the drivers seat and not the passenger.

Funny you mention the heated seats on your past JK’s never seemed to get hot enough, I’ve never had that problem on my 2012.

Thanks for posting these comparo pics. I’ve wanted to see exactly this kind of comparison for awhile. It really highlights how different the new design is, despite looking so similar when they are viewed separately.

Ya. I had a 2012 Sahara and my 2015 Hard Rock. Both had heated seats and barely got warm. Maybe I got two bad ones.

Exactly. I knew there was a difference withe the bigger tires and the higher fenders on the Rubi's man what a difference after seeing them side by side. Always thought the stock Rubi wasn't exactly small looking but it looks small next to the JL.

theres actually a setting in Uconnect where you can have the heated seats and steering turn on/off when you remote start. I believe that they are factory set on.
