I bought a new 2023 Jeep Wrangler with now 4,000 miles on it. Since I’ve had it the vehicle seems to lurch between 0-5 MPH especially when taking off from a red light, or coming to a stop. It’s just not a smooth motion. Anyone else have this problem?

Actually I do - when I first do a cold start (regardless of hot or cold conditions) the first 2 miles is VERY lurchy. That's not a word, but it almost seems to be very jumpy. Once its "warmed up" its fine.

I started doing this and it seems to have helped quite a bit, even though LIS it still happens for the first few miles. I wait for the RPM's to drop below 1K before shifting into Drive. Usually I only have to wait about 25 seconds.

I've had this ever since I got my 23 Rubi a year ago.

Yesterday I also noticed a small leak of fluid coming from the bottom of my engine. Hmmmm.

I’m taking it into a Jeep dealership next Wednesday. That’s the earliest appointment they had to check it out.

So, the dealership in Atlanta told me that the leak is actually engine coolant coming from a faulty hose that was installed in the factory. However, because of the Auto Workers recent strike, the part was just recently shipped, and is currently sitting in a parts depot in Atlanta. The dealership has had my Jeep Wrangler for 19+ days. The Ed Voyles dealership had no loaner vehicle for me.

The “lurching” I’m told is probably a software issue.

Frustrating.
