What is the red piece covering just below the fuse box? If I press on it, it sparks and temporarily fixes the issue.
Lift the red piece. You will see a bolt and a nut. Tighten the nut with a wrench.

Hey lets slow down. Agree with all the pos terminal is loose. But the OP is not all that experienced under the hood.

OP, when you tighten the connection to the positive (red) terminal, make sure your wrench you use does not touch any other metal (like the negative terminal). There is a lot of energy in that battery, if you are unfamiliar on how to work with it, find a neighbor that is, or take it to the dealer. I would take the negative terminal off the battery first if I were you, just to be careful. As long as the negative terminal is not connected to the battery, you are safe. Then tighten the positive terminal. After you are sure it is tight, put the negative back on. Just be VERY careful the positive terminal, or anything touching the positive terminal, does not touch any other piece of metal.

You can do this yourself, just be careful.

Thanks. I won't touch that! The oil change guy tightened the bolts today so maybe we will just wait a few days. I will check the fuses though. Thanks!

There are a lot of similar threads with the same symptoms. Either fuses/relays need to be pushed down tight or battery issues most of the time. Fuse troubleshooting is free and takes 2 minutes.
40% of warranty claims are charging and or battery related. A LOT of seemingly unrelated issues are caused by bad main and or bad ESS 12V aux batteries. Most are due to bad 12V aux batteries. Hopefully OP's issue si something simple like a bad battery or loose terminal.

And don't let the wrench touch anything grounded while turning it. I have seen it happen.

2018 Jeep Sahara JLU
Hi. We have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. We have had a few instances in which the Jeep will not start and the electrical goes crazy - windshield wipers turn off and on, lights flicker, dash blinks, etc. We have determined that pressing down the red area at the upper left of the engine will "reset" the Jeep and allow it to start. Usually at that point the screen says it is updating. During the past week, we have lost power steering twice for a few seconds. We took the Jeep into a chain repair center for an oil change and asked them to check the power steering fluid and do some general checking. The fluid level was fine, and there were no error codes when they ran a diagnostic check. As you can probably tell from this post, I know very little about car engines. Any thoughts on the issue? We are taking it in for service at a Jeep dealership tomorrow. Thanks.
I have 2018 JLU Sahara just coming out of the shop with similar troubles. The dealership diagnosed it as a bad connector behind the dash .

Hi! How is your Jeep running now? I have a 18 JLU its been doing the crazy electrical and then the power steering became intermittent. I just had both batteries replaced and the steering went out again today. Have you had any further trouble?
