i recently purchased a 2019 Wrangler 2 door JL. Looking to change to the soft top, want to store the hardtop on a cart if possible. Im not seeing any carts that fit the 2019 hardtop, does anyone know if the 2018 and 2019 hardtops are the same or not?

George, without giving you a definite, "every cart ever designed for the JK will work with the JL," because I'm not sure anyone can say that--and certainly not me--consider that this cart linked below is marketed by Quadratec: one of the definitive go to places for Wrangler gear, for both models of Wrangler.

https://www.quadratec.com/products/12020_301_07.htm

I hope this serves as a useful starting point for you. Welcome to the forum.

Depends on what you mean by "cart" - the TopLift Pro is kind of a cart, works fine with JL hard tops. https://www.topliftpros.com/

There are a few write ups here in the DIY section of how to make one yourself. It is the same as what you’d buy for a high markup. Just food for thought.

Good first post! As someone who is new to Jeep ownership myself, I am still trying to figure out the best removal system for the hardtop and where to store it. I don’t have garage space for it so currently I just have it sittting propped up under my deck and used a neighbor to help me take it off. I may just cave in for a quadratec or toplift pro at some point.

2018 had two models of Wrangler, the JK an JL.

I'm almost certain the 2018 JL and 2019 JL are the dimensionally same top.

I'm almost certain the 2018 JK and the 2018/2019 JL do NOT have the dimensionally same top.

They arnt cheap but the topliftpro is awesome. Especially if you dont have a lot of room because once you remove hardtop you can 'drive' under it and save space that way.

I second this, if you have the space just follow the instructions and build your own and save the money for other projects
