Went out this morning and changed the oil and filter. Reset the oil life, pushed the start button and some lights on the dash and stuff, but nothing but a click and no start. Not complaining, I got 2 years 8 months out of it. I even told the wife two days ago I was going to change out the battery this weekend or next. LOL.

Looked up at my superchips TD3 and it flashed a message " Your battery voltage is too low to start your vehicle" that was pretty cool, I didn't know my TD3 would even tell me that. So checked the Aux. Completely dead.

Pulled the main battery, went and got a new one, pulled fuse F42 and removed and isolated the small neg. Cable and it fired right up.

But, I do have the message telling me start stop is disabled and the light is on in the dash cluster.

From what I have read I just need to leave it alone and after so many start events it will clear the dash light?

Is this correct?

Thanks

I believe you are correct, not an expert on this though. Others have way more experience on this issue, I'm sure they will be able to give you more info.

To finish off your auxiliary battery delete, just install a plug and play autostart eliminator to kill the fault light. All it does is remember is set the auto start default to “off” so you don’t have to press the button every time which turns off the warning light.

I’ve been running off my main only heading on 4 years. Wish I had pitched the lil’ aux battery the first time it stranded me instead of the third.

Cheers

Thanks. I will look into it. I do have the super chips trail dash 3. I need to see what all it can do.
