But then switching to complaining about a red dash on a Gecko JL? Apples and oranges. That's just a combo she happens not to like
Fair enough. Most of the negative reactions seemed to be based more on the fact that OP expected proper QC on the most expensive Wrangler to ever hit the lot. These are your flagship buyers who you don't want having a bad taste in their mouth on a $20 QC issue.

And as someone who came from a BMW, I hear you! They're design is damn mess these days. The new 4's kidneys looks like a gopher's front teeth.

It's just leather next to vinyl.

Suggestion - get a quality leather cleaner and a horsehair brush and clean and brush the entire seat, wipe dry, then apply conditioner and buff dry with microfiber. This will hide the mismatch. I do it with all my vehicles because i've never seen one where the vinyl and leather match perfectly. Both color and texture are always slightly different.
Oh it doesnt bother me. I climb on the seats. Its a jeep.

IMO, the OP conflated two unrelated things. I agree that different parts of the seat should match, and that stitching should be consistent, etc. That's a quality control problem and a fair complaint.

But then switching to complaining about a red dash on a Gecko JL? Apples and oranges. That's just a combo she happens not to like -- it's not a mistake on Jeep's part. Many manufacturers will sell you some seriously wild-ass combinations these days. Go build a current model BMW M4. I'll wait. But your disdain for a garish combination doesn't mean Jeep has somehow "failed" from a quality standpoint. Don't like it? Order Saddle Brown with a gray dash instead.
Ok let me spell it out.

1. Another jeeper brought up the leather and i posted my seat pic in response. I didnt complain about the leather, I dont really care about it bc I step on my seats. Its a jeep. I prefer the cloth but it wasnt a choice.
2. I must have confused people, given all the models and all the color choices for seats, dash, ect... I think jeep "failed" by not allowing us to make color combos we like & instead get stuck with dashes we dont like when our color choice dash IS available on another model.
3. Its not "apples and oranges" to me. Quality control wasnt my topic. Lipstick and trim was. If I deviated here or there, my sincere apologies.

My post was written with a heart full of 30+ years of jeep love and with a smile on my face. I got personal attacks in return.
So be it.
And saddle brown w a gray dash? Never gonna look good IMO.

I agree, there were many places where they dropped the ball. How about the granite glossy Dash panels instead of satin like everything else, then the chrome vent rings instead of using the Mojave orange that matched the stitching and such on the inside. I went ahead and bought The Mojave vents and replaced mine, as well as blacked out the trim rings around the speedometer and tachometer so they were easier to read and didn’t look out of place.
Careful with your opinion... apparently we have a lot of Karen's around here lately...

I Never mentioned QC. I talked about lipstick trim!
But i do agree... as a repeat jeep buyer.... i do expect attention to detail.

Honestly, I think the new M4’s look “fine” in person.

Yes, the kidney grille is large, but the whole car is low, and from the perspective of a normal person looking down at it, they look roughly proportional and in line with any other stupidly large grille (cough Audi, cough Lexus)

I’m not saying they look great, but if I was in the market for an M4, it wouldn’t discourage me from purchasing one.

Plus, it looks kinda like a 1970’s Firebird - something my inner ten year old still thinks is really cool:

TLDR means too long, didn’t read. Sometimes used to paraphrase a prior statement. Like:

TLDR - the M4 is fine.

I don't understand the hate for OP on this one... Sure, it was written in a somewhat ranty fashion, but who doesn't love a little Dennis Miller from time to time.

Look, when you drop a load of cash on the top of the line model of anything, you're paying to have something built with pride and care.

If I were to build a house, and they painted half the rooms with a different gloss level paint, it would be akin to this, and you should absolutely complain.

Mistakes happen, but to act like it's normal because it's a Jeep is insane. If they can't keep up with their decision to make all these little options, then they should not add the little options. To the point of many, the aftermarket exists and gold bits and decals are on the cheap end of one's Jeep list.
Thank you for having my back. It was appreciated.

Three Wranglers doesn’t seem excessive. One for grocery getting. One for off roading. And one for a backup if one needs to be worked on. Seems right to me. ;)
Yeah i think the truth is she would have the only one that isnt a hemi. Which we offered her but shes a 2 door girl and i fully support that!

Dash should be painted with the same body colour, as I done with my Rubicon Hella Yella.

Clearly they got everything to stick at least twice, considering your profile shows you have both a 2020 and a 2021 Rubicon.
