Oh, the hair.
I miss my shepherd, but I don't miss all the hair. Two has got to be impossible to keep up with.

Hmm, interesting. I knew about regular brushing and diet, but sound insulation package is a new one to me.
How does that work (what's the application/method)?

Ha ha, finally cool enough to take the top off. You folks in the southwest crack me up.
Looks like the pups are really enjoying the "cool" weather too. I really like the shock absorbing tethers on the harnesses BTW. Nice touch to protect the the 4 legged occupants.

Yup, I read a couple of post of what happens in an accident so I figured I’d get some nice strong harnesses and what look to be good quality shock absorbing leashes to help them out.
95 and low humidity is very comfortable for us. And 65 or lower is FREEZING!

Yeah, I always hate to hear when someone crashes and loses a dog. Either physically lost (it ran from the scene after a window broke) or critically injured. It would be bad enough to crash, you don't want to lose your 4 legged friend at the same time.

I have a tether that I attach to their harnesses in my Jeep, but I like the shock absorbing one better. Those seem to be the perfect length, you have a link or brand? Were they dog specific or just well adapted?

this is the one I bought off of Amazon. Says it’s rated at 200 kg of strength. They have another one that’s a little bit different that’s rated for 300 kg. The stronger the better in case of an accident. I just saw the other one right now but this one was real easy to wrap around the roll cage and adjust the right length. The other one doesn’t look quite as easy.

Nothing to do with the Jeep in this photo, but when you need to get your belly rubbed, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Nate, that's the first time I've seen a dog do that on the stairs. I guess some times you just need a belly rub, right now.

Thank you. I may use this in conjunction with my current tether rather than in place of it. These are apparently indented to be a leash not a fall arrest or safety restraint. For comparison, the tensile strength is rated lower than a single strand of 550 paracord (or just a bit higher if you get the 300 kg version). Certainly more than sufficient for walking your dog or keeping them from jumping out of the Jeep.
I'm not trying to bash them. Every little bit helps to extend the deceleration time but 200 kg is a pretty low tensile strength for a safety system. A 60 lbs dog could potentially exceed that in a head-on collision as slow as 20 mph. These will certainly help, especially if under emergency braking or something other than a head-on collision. I just wanted you to be aware of its limitations because I'd hate to see you lose your dogs because you thought they were more protected than they are.

Their "excess" Fur makes a great winter /sound insulation package, which they apply themselves. Come Spring, top off, and when the Jeep appears from the cloud of Dog hair, we are ready for Summer Cruising

Ha ha, that's a great outlook on it.
