Hey all,

I’m interested in attending a Jeep Jamboree and am curious if a stock JLU Sport needs anything to participate? I see roll cage, tow hooks, and a max tire size in the FAQ but I’m assuming the stock cage and bumpers with hooks qualify these. Is that correct ?

Any Jamboree feedback or recommendations on equipment upgrades before?

Thanks!

You are more or less correct. Each Jamboree is different in what trails they run and their requirements. If that is what it lists, there should be trail options to suit what you're equipped with. Check the Itinerary for a list of trails and see their ratings. They do tend to rate them conservatively from my experience running them. I have seen stock Wranglers and Grand Cherokees at Jamborees in the past as well.

Depends on the Jamboree…. Some have requirements like a min tire size, lockers, etc

for the most part, you’ll be able to do most of them but they might only let you on certain trails. During the registration on the event, they look over the Jeep and ask you basic questions. The stock roll cage and tow Hooks meet their basic requirements. The other requirement is a grms radio since that’s how you talk on the trails

I’ve found the Jamborees to be a good time. Only downside is just adds to the list of upgrades

Thanks both! I know I won’t be hitting the toughest trails in a stock Sport. I just want to get in the door if I’m still stock. Appreciate your feedback. Seems like a great way to get out and have some fun while I keep planning mods.
