New to the forum here... Proud owner of a 2020 JLU Rubicon 3.6
Old (Ok I'm almost 40) Jeeper here...Been hitting trails since I was a teen until my later 20's when I no longer had a Jeep, had some kiddos and life took over.
In 2018 I came across a 60's Willys Wagon and picked it up with plans to turn into a crawler with my son. While I did gather a garage full of parts for the build...between work and life we just haven't gotten around to it.
A few years ago we decided it was time to make shit happen, get out, see things, do things.
A truck to tow one year...a camper the next...and the next move, another Jeep in the driveway to get out on the trails sooner than later. After many test drives of 4 door Rubicons, I came across an already built 2020 JLU Rubicon. After a test drive...we determined it was the one.
Keep in mind, I'm not afraid or unable to build my own, but timing and circumstances most definitely played out in our favor, and eventually realizing it was the best decision we could have made...
Brought it home on Dec 29th, 2024.
Hit the trails with it Jan 4th, 2025.
After doing some searching on FB Marketplace for some additions to the ride, I crazily ended up recognizing the name of the previous owner on a martketplace post of items taken out of the Jeep and made contact. Ended up with the story of the Jeep and its entire build. I truly could not have gotten any luckier to have a more well taken care of and built Jeep to start our adventure with.
I know for a fact the owner was on here...Unsure if he still is. But if you see this...Thank you!
Currently in shipment...a full line of belly skids to replace the factory Rubi Skids and some LCA Skids.
Till next time folks!
